Community Partner…. Joey Cheek
I took over the role of Launch Greensboro nearly three months ago and I couldn’t have felt more welcomed by the entire transform GSO community, thank you!!
Our job at Launch is to help small businesses make more money and to help startups grow at the speed of light. We’ve historically done that exclusively through our Launch bootcamps and accelerators and I’m excited to share that we will not only be continuing those programs for more than 50 businesses per year based right here at transform GSO, but we believe we can make our programming even more impactful and we can’t wait to roll those changes out.
I’m also extremely excited to announce and invite all of you to our inaugural Launch Greensboro Startup Week. From March 11th-15th we will be hosting the best and brightest in the Triad startup world at numerous sessions, meetups, and parties across Downtown with many taking place right here at transform GSO.
In my initial few weeks learning the ins and outs of the Greensboro startup ecosystem the one area that I think we can most improve on is continuing to bring founders, marketers, engineers, investors, and startup fans closer together. We have to forge a community where you can walk into a room with an idea and leave with a cofounder, team members and investment. I can’t think of a better place than transform GSO to build that community.

In a world where social media has given everyone a public voice, our conversations seem to have devolved into anger and devisiveness. Our goal with this exhibit is to provide a space in which we can put down our megaphones and explore ideas together. Whether we come to a place of agreement or not, the act of transforming the nature of our conversations opens us all up to the possibility of connection. These five masterful artists give us a platform, both intimate and detached, through which we can explore the nature of ideas through a unique lens.
