transform GSO is happy to announce that Erin Sherrill has officially joined us as our new Executive Director! Erin is succeeding Kaitlin Conover, who has transitioned to a new role as Assistant Director of Launch Greensboro. We wish Kaitlin the very best and couldn’t be more pleased that she will be in a leadership role with one of our most important strategic partners, Launch Greensboro.
As Executive Director, Sherrill will oversee all aspects of sales, marketing, member service, operations, and HR for tGSO. She will work closely with staff and report to tGSO’s executive team, led by Andy Zimmerman and Ken Causey, co-founders.
For the past eight years, Sherrill has worked for the Greensboro Science Center, most recently as Public Relations and Social Media Coordinator. In an earlier role, she served as Communications and Guest Services Operations Manager.
“Erin has all the right skills and, most importantly, the spirit and mindset to be a great Executive Director for transform GSO,” said Andy Zimmerman. “She cares deeply about the Greensboro community, innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic development. She’s a great networker, a connector, and a proven leader.”
As a self-proclaimed life-long learner and lover of people and their ideas, Sherrill shared, “I am so grateful for this opportunity to lead transform GSO into what will undoubtedly be its best years yet. This growing community of inspiring people is exactly what our community needs now.”
An NC native and Greensboro resident of 15 years, Sherrill is a 2012 graduate of UNCG and holds English and Environmental Studies degrees.
